HELLO there Autumn!
AUTUMN IS HERE!!!!! Here’s our little celebration of all things awesomely autumnal, summed up in an acronym (excuse the tenuous links to the letter U!!).
A- is for awesome layering options!
Autumn mornings, darker evenings…bring it on we are READY for you!
Time to dust off your scarves, fluff up your bobble hat (even if somedays we’re still in shorts!) and dig your coats out from the back of the wardrobe. We love your chillier nights and your surprising Indian summer days and for some of us any excuse to wear a blanket as an item of clothing is simply a winner.
U- is for unbelievable colours EVERYWHERE!
Autumn- Your trees leave us breathless (no pun intended) with their array of colours glowing in the October sunshine. Make sure you get out there to take it all in and to kick your way through the crunchy piles of fallen leaves like a toddler with no one watching!
T- is for toasty socks and snuggly blankets
As much as we love flip flop season, summer is over and our feet are crying out for thick, fur lined, snuggly socks to rescue them from the evening chills and take them back into hibernation until the spring. Add to the equation multiple layers of blankets, a super huge mug of hot chocolate and we are good to go!
U- is for up up up...yes it’s almost time for fireworks, bonfires, sparklers, marshmallows and jacket potatoes
We may be peaking a little early but Bonfire night is fast approaching and there’s already a faint smell in the autumn night air of burning logs and gunpowder. It won’t be long before sparklers are back on sale and we get to start cooking things over outside fires like potatoes and marshmallows…awesome.
M- is for mmm comfort food and the majestic return of the pumpkin spiced latte
Not only do we celebrate National Coffee Day in the autumn months, we also welcome back our seasonal coffee faves. Yes PSL and gingerbread lattes…this is your time to shine! And oooh the comfort food…Mac n cheese, crumpets with melted butter, cheese on toast….we are in food and coffee heaven.
N- is for New Netflix series'
The nights may be getting darker earlier but no worries because autumn never lets us down with new things to watch…prepare yourself for an explosion of new Netflix series, it definitely eases the pain of not being able to be out together doing fun stuff as we can lose ourselves in a new box set!
