You're SUPER!...even when you don't feel anything like a hero

Times have been T.O.U.G.H and on the rough days it's so easy to feel rubbish.

BUT...we're here to tell you that you're more amazing than you think.

Hey guys, so this week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and here at Headstrong, we wanna take the opportunity to remind you that you're super, even though you don't feel like a hero.

You know, times have been tough recently, and we've all been pushed to our limit, and particularly on the tough days, it's so easy to feel rubbish, or useless, or just not as good as we wanna be. We wanna be so much better than ordinary, but honestly, some days even ordinary feels way away from what we're hitting. You know, sometimes you just feel like a grumpy ogre version of yourself, don't you?

But did you know, you don't have to be superhuman to be amazing? You don't have to be perfect to be worth something. You matter. Just by being a part of the world, you make a bunch of people's lives and worlds better. Even on your low days, even when you make mistakes, or you mess up, or you fall short. You can still make good choices that get you or get other people through.

Little things make a bigger difference than you realise, and sometimes your little things are actually amazing things. You know, things like facing a fear, or getting yourself up and motivated on a low day, reaching out and admitting that you're finding something tough. The stuff you take for granted is probably a lot more super than you realise.

And hey, did you know those people, who look like they're nailing it on social, or when you hear them telling stories of what they've done, they have rough days and rubbish days and mess up days too? You just don't hear about those.

Oh, and one last thing. You know, here are Headstrong, we're people who believe in God, and the Bible, and there, there's an even more interesting story, about something else that you can carry, how you can bring good stuff, and God's stuff to the world. When you reach the end of yourself, maybe that's not the end. Maybe that's a space where you can tap into something bigger and better than yourself. And even if that's not your faith, you can make the choice to bring stuff that's good to the world. You know, light, and life, and laughter, and courage, and friendship, and loyalty, and all of that good stuff. So you may not be superhuman, but you can carry something supernatural, and there's a lot more super in you than you think.
